Senator Jorge de Castro Font, of the opposition Partido Nuevo Progresista (PNP), presented himself at the offices of the FBI on September 9, after hearing rumours there was a warrant for his arrest. De Castro Font is facing a lawsuit from his own party, which is seeking to ban him from running under the PNP banner in the November elections, after he criticised the party's president Luis Fortuño.
