We believe that allegations of unauthorised changes to President Rafael Correa's proposed new constitution is unlikely to alter the outcome of the referendum on constitutional reform. The country's attorney general has summoned the head of the national constituent assembly, Fernando Cordero, to testify, after accusations from another assembly member of the opposition party Red Ética y Democrática, that fraudulent changes were made to the reforms without the knowledge of other assembly members.
