President Bharrat Jagdeo is already talking up his People's Progressive Party (PPP)'s chances in the 2011 regional and general elections - even though he is prevented by term limits from running as the party's presidential candidate. Jagdeo addressed the PPP at a party conference in July, lauding the government's efforts despite global financial concerns and a still-fragile domestic security situation.
