A May poll taken in Puerto Rico by Gaither International, which attempts to capture the proportion of the island's residents who are considering leaving the island, has revealed some figures that suggest the economy may suffer from a shortage of skilled labour over the long term. We note that a structural shift in the labour endowment could hinder even a modest recovery in economic growth over the long term.
