Chile's long-term political risk ratings remains unchanged this month at 80.2, but our short-term rating falls from 85.8 to 82.1. We still regard the Chilean political environment as being the most stable in the region. The ability to implement policies, relatively low level of security threats, and a strong commitment to policy continuity are the driving factors behind this view. However, the surge in inflation has negatively impacted our social stability ranking, which falls from 80.0 to 65.0.
