Brazil's political scene has been rattle in recent months; firstly with the unravelling of a corruption scandal involving key government figures and secondly, with the disastrous air crash that took the lives of many Brazilians in July. As a result of the corruption scandal there will be a closed-door vote of confidence for the president of the senate (who was accused of being involved), which could raise political tensions as well as slow the government's reform process.
