BMI View: As an exception among Central American countries, El Salvadorean inflation is likely to come in below our year-end forecast. Although prices have risen steadily in the past year around the region, mostly as a result of higher food costs, consumer prices in El Salvador rose by just 3.2% y-o-y in July, which was the lowest outturn since October 2006.
