BMI View Worker remittance flows to Guatemala reached a record single-month level in May of US$393mn. Despite the record outturn, the growth of remittances does appear to be slowing down, with year-on-year growth in May its lowest level since March 2005, at 16.7% - a possible consequence of the cooling US economy
