The Uribe administration faced perhaps its toughest month to date in June, a sentiment mirrored by a decline in our short term political risk rating from 71.5 to 67.3. Paramilitary problems, an internal investigation, and worries over the prospects of a US free trade deal all played a prominent role in this ratings drop.
