The Partido Liberal Radical Auténtico (PLRA), the dominant member party of the 30-strong opposition bloc known as the Concertación, has announced that it will support Fernando Lugo's election bid providing he chooses a vice president from the PLRA. The decision removes a key obstacle to Lugo, whose candidacy for the presidential election next year has been in doubt over the last few months.
