Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa met with his Peruvian counterpart Alan García on June 1 as part of the first bi-national cabinet meeting between the governments of the two nations. Both leaders denied any outstanding border dispute, and pledged to re-launch plans for regional border development. Ecuador has a long history of border disputes with Peru over territory, but Correa claims they are now at peace and relations have never been
