At the sitting of the legislature the new constitution for the British Virgin Islands was approved, almost three years after the Constitutional Review Commission was set up. The new constitution will include a new cabinet form of government instead of an Executive Council, a premier instead of the chief minister, a House of Assembly instead of the Legislative Council and the separation of duties of the attorney general and the director of public prosecutions. Perhaps the most significant developments, however, are the implementing of the first Human Rights Chapter, and the letter of entrustment from the British authorities, which delegates
