BMI View: The Banco Central de Chile kept the benchmark interest unchanged at 5.00% during its May monetary policy meeting. The rate has been left unchanged since January when the bank surprised markets with a 25bps interest rate cut, which was largely the result of the current high growth, low inflation scenario.
