BMI View: Preliminary indications suggest that the Costa Rican economy has picked up where it left off in 2006. The IMAE economic activity indicator showed growth of 7.6% y-o-y in January, similar to the figures seen over the previous six months, and an improvement from 6.8% in January 2006.
