The uncertainty over the date of the upcoming general election continues in Barbados. A common theory had posited that the ballot - due in 2008 at the latest - could be moved forward to H207, so that the ruling Barbados Labour Party (BLP) could benefit from a 'feel good' factor in the aftermath of hosting the Cricket World Cup. However, with the tournament so far failing to ignite the local enthusiasm that the BLP had hoped for, we may now see a longer wait until the vote.
