BMI View: Colombia's central bank Banco de la Republica (BanRep) intervened heavily in the FX market once again on March 30 in a bid to rein in the currency. This policy has been accompanied by the unwanted side-effect of inflationary pressures, as an increased supply of pesos floods the domestic economy.
