BMI View: The economy has yet to show any signs of letting up following a stellar rate of expansion of 8.0% in Q406. As such, full-year real GDP growth came in at a 29-year high of 6.8%. We expect growth to cool off in 2007, as the lagged effects of the central bank's tightening cycle put a dampener on demand. That said, this would be by no means a bad scenario for an economy running close to full capacity.
