BMI View: BMI's proprietary sovereign risk rating index, which our Financial Markets team launched back in March 2006, is designed to quantify the debt servicing capabilities of emerging market governments. This month, we have introduced two Central American states - El Salvador and Panama - to our ratings system. We plan to add more in the coming months.
