At the BLP's 68th annual conference, Prime Minister Owen Arthur seized the opportunity to reflect on three terms in power and highlighted the BLP's outstanding contribution towards the socio-economic development of Barbados, especially during the past four years. More importantly, Arthur also expressed his ambition to stand for a fourth term in next year's general elections, and given his relatively positive popular approval ratings, many in the BLP are likely to support Arthur's candidacy.
