During last week's visit to China, President Hugo Chavez announced that Venezuela plans to substantially increase its oil exports to China over the coming four years. According to Chavez, Venezuela's state-owned oil company Petroleos de Venezuela (PdVSA) will aim to double oil exports to China to 300,00 b/d by next year, and to 500,000 b/d by 2010.
