BMI View: With only weeks to go before the Brazilian election, the PSDB's Geraldo Alckmin looks like a longshot to beat President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva of the Partido dos Trabalhadores (PT). The focus is turning to the legislative portion of the ballot, and here, the news is not so good for Lula and his party. Without strong support in the legislative branch, Lula will find it difficult to effectively implement policy in a second term.
