Net foreign reserves reached US$2.66bn at the end of April, up from US$2.33bn at the end of last year. We are adjusting our year-end forecast for 2006-2007, as Honduras continues to pursue a policy of encouraging FDI, aided by its entry into DR-CAFTA, as well as a business-friendly government stance. On the downside, the government move to ban types of mining, which provided US$114.1mn in revenue last year, could affect some potential investors in this area.
