BMI View: We expect real GDP growth in Guyana to cool over coming quarters on the back of base effects from a strong 2011 reading, a moderation in mining sector growth and continued struggles with sugar sector output. Furthermore, we maintain our view that Guyana's growth story will be increasingly driven by mining, rather than sugar, in coming years.
