BMI View: Uruguay's unemployment rate came in at 5.3% in December, only slightly lower than our 5.5% forecast for 2011. In line with our expectations that the Uruguayan economy will show resilience to global headwinds in 2012, we believe the labour market will remain relatively tight over the coming quarters, and therefore maintain our unemployment forecasts at 5.6% for 2012 and 5.4% for 2013.
