February 2010 | Macroeconomic ForecastsAccording to Ecuador's central bank (BCE), the first three weeks of January have seen foreign reserves level-off around US$4.0bn, suggesting the country's terms of trade are stabilising. However, as our regular readers will know, the inclusion of fiscal revenue and expenditure in BCE reserve data complicates the picture, meaning we choose to await official IMF data before revising our end-2009 US$2.85bn estimate.
