Tough Year Ahead For Kirchners

BMI View: While a boost in support for President Cristina Fernández is hardly surprising as the Argentine economy grows at the fastest pace in well over a decade, we hold to our view that securing the presidency in October 2011's presidential and parliamentary election - whether for Cristina herself or husband Néstor Kirchner - presents a formidable challenge. With the opposition starting to find its feet, we believe that the Kirchners will be hard pushed to secure another term.
