BMI View: We believe that risks to Latin American banking sectors from Europe's myriad woes are muted, thanks to the the structure of foreign bank lending in the region, which should help to embed the economic recovery process. That said, tighter global financial market conditions and potential flight to the safety of the US dollar could weigh on growth over the medium term, with the Caribbean and Central America most at risk.
