Macroeconomic Forecast Bolivia
September 2010 | Macroeconomic ForecastsBMI View: Bolivia's consumer price inflation (CPI) increased to 2.1% year-on-year (y-o-y) in July from 1.3% y-o-y in June, a 0.6% month-on-month rise, according to the latest data from Banco Central De Bolivia. July's figure marked the fastest period of price growth since May 2009. We believe inflationary pressures will continue to build in the Andean country throughout the remainder of the year, and as a result are maintaining our forecast for CPI to hit 4.0% y-o-y by end-2010.
