November 2010 | Macroeconomic ForecastsBMI View : According to central bank data, Mexico's foreign reserves rose to US$108.3bn in September, from US$106.9bn the previous month, and is now just US$8bn shy of our end-2010 US$116bn projection. With upside pressure set to remain on the peso as the US Federal Reserve carries out its second round of quantitative easing, and Banxico looking set to hold to its policy of active reserve accumulation, we expect reserves to reach US$125bn by end-2011.
