Sluggish Growth Ahead

BMI View: The release of more weak economic activity data reinforces our view that real GDP growth in El Salvador will remain anaemic over the medium term, with our forecasts pencilling in growth of just 2.1% in both 2010 and 2011. This, in turn, is likely to see the country lag further behind our Central American favourites Panama and Costa Rica.
