November 2010 | Macroeconomic ForecastsEconomic activity in Honduras posted solid 3.3% y-o-y growth in September, driven by gains in manufacturing, agriculture and transport, which expanded by 3.9% y-o-y, 3.2% y-o-y and 8.1% y-o-y, respectively. The construction and mining industries however, continue to suffer, with the construction sector contracting 16.8% y-o-y. We expect only moderate economic growth going forward, and anticipate real GDP growth of 2.3% y-o-y in 2010, and 3.1% y-o-y in 2011.
