Financial Account To Boost External Profile

BMI View: We believe a strong financial and capital account position in Colombia, combined with a gradual improvement in the current account deficit, will place the country in a relatively healthy balance of payments situation over the medium term. The main risk to this view comes from an imposition of capital controls, although even if such intervention did take place it would be insufficient to prompt significant deterioration in the country's balance of payments profile.
