Brazil Bodes Well

We believe that the commencement of direct flights from Brazil to Barbados bodes well for the recovery in the island's tourism industry, which continues to be plagued by weak demand from the key markets of the US and the UK. While the current schedule of one flight a week is likely to see arrivals from South America pale in comparison to those from more traditional markets for some time to come, we believe that the diversification into new centres of global growth bodes well for the industry over the medium term.
