BMI View: Bolivia's economic stability is at risk from a rapidly deteriorated balance of payments outlook, a threat which will become much more pronounced if the government's interventionist rhetoric deters medium-term FDI inflows. While vast resource wealth means Bolivia still holds plenty of economic potential, failure to attract much-needed capital means this potential will remain unrealised, exacerbating widening external account imbalances.
