BMI View: The tide appears to be turning against the Kirchners, as reflected in their crushing defeat in the 2009 mid-term elections and deteriorating approval ratings going into 2010. We see scope for significant friction with a now opposition-controlled congress and believe that the ruling couple will find it very difficult to convince Argentines that they deserve another term at the helm in 2011.
