New Cabinet Announced

Costa Rican President-elect Laura Chinchilla has announced the majority of the incoming cabinet, with several high profile positions going to women. Of particular interest is the appointment of Anabel González as foreign trade minister. Having led the agricultural division of the WTO between 2006 and 2009, González has been tasked with pursuing an aggressive trade policy overseas to attract much-needed foreign investment into the country.
