More Drug-Fuelled Violence
March 2010 | Ratings UpdateRecent events in Mexico highlight the resilience of drug-fuelled violence in the face of government pressure. On February 23 around 20 gunmen raided a rural town in Southern Mexico, killing 13 people. According to police officials, hooded men armed with assault rifles stormed a ranch killing the owner, his three sons and four others. Five policemen were also killed when they tried to apprehend the men.
