Mujica Moving Closer To Presidency

Uruguay's presidential election looks increasingly likely to be won by José Mujica, as the Frente Amplio's efforts to claim the centre ground appear to be bearing fruit. However, should the first round prove inconclusive, as we expect, Mujica's victory could be threatened by supporters of the eliminated parties rallying behind the opposition Partido Nacional (Blancos).
