Another Blow For Ortega

BMI View: With domestic opposition to Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega's re-election bid building, his chances of standing again in 2012 appear to be fading rapidly. Nevertheless, given that Ortega still seems to have the backing of the country's military, we doubt he will relinquish plans to extend his term in office anytime soon.
