BMI View: Heavily dependent on US demand and capital inflows, Central America's benchmark economies will not only lag their Southern peers on the recovery trail, but will also settle at a much lower rate of trend growth than enjoyed in previous years. Of course, the journey will not be uniform, and we expect Costa Rica and Panama to outperform the region, largely thanks to a stable political scene and attractive investment outlook.
