Tourism: Rough Seas Ahead

Caribbean destinations with more established travel links will be better placed to deal with the headwinds of the global recession than smaller island states. Moreover, while a pleasant climate and geographic proximity to the US will keep the Caribbean a top tourism destination, rising international competition will remain a key challenge for the region.
