Crime Wave To Swell Political Risk
April 2009 | Political Risk AnalysisBMI View: The bleak economic outlook paints an ominous picture for crime levels in most Caribbean states over the next few years, which in turn will act as significant drag on the region's political risk levels. With little chance of substantial external support going forward, we believe greater political and economic integration through the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) provides the best way for the region to prevent a major deterioration in both short-term and structural political risk.
