PRI Leading The Polls

Recent poll data support our view that the opposition Partido Revolucionario Institucional (PRI) will come out ahead of the governing Partido Acción Nacional (PAN) in Mexico's mid-term congressional elections, scheduled for July 5. According to a local poll carried out in early March, 41% of respondents would vote for the PRI if the elections were held today, compared to only 39% for the PAN.
