Kirchner Attacks Cobos

Argentina's first gentleman Néstor Kirchner has launched a public attack against Vice President Julio Cobos for not stepping down from his position following his vote against the government on the agricultural tax reform bill. Since voting against the government, Cobos has become a prominent figure of opposition to President Cristina Fernández and it looks increasingly likely that he will run for president in 2011, using his position to gain support with the electorate.
