September 2008 | Economic AnalysisBMI View: In mid-September, BMI travelled to the Caribbean to meet with a host of commercial banks, government ministries, local brokers and both central banks on the islands of Trinidad & Tobago and Barbados. As we discovered on our trip, the two economies are getting by reasonably well in the face of fierce global headwinds, although several key challenges were brought to our attention. Below, we run through some of the major points of discussion.
