September 2008 | Economic AnalysisBMI View: While Puerto Rico's broader economy remains in the throes of deep economic slumber, we have detected some encouraging signs from construction activity in the capital city, San Juan. With the help of public partnerships, the private sector has initiated a number of key infrastructure projects, which should help to jumpstart local output and improve the city's operating environment over the medium term.
