Inflation Risks To Keep Rising

Despite lower food price inflation in August, we caution that Chile's inflationary outlook continues to deteriorate. Still rising wholesale and producer price inflation threaten to further contaminate prices across the wider economy. As such, we now expect at least another 100bps of interest rate hikes to 9.25% this year.
