Slowdown Will Not Kill Inflation
September 2008 | Economic AnalysisWe are expecting to see Argentine inflation to remain elevated over the coming years despite the anticipated slowdown in economic activity. Structural shortcomings in the economy will continue to create price pressures, while a sharp depreciation in the currency will exacerbate the problem as import costs rise.
