According to local press reports, Peruvian authorities seized a shipment of four metric tons of cocaine during a sting operation in Lima on September 5, with the drugs intended for shipment to Holland. The successful seizure of the drugs and arrest of some 20 people marks the biggest drug smuggling bust for Peruvian police forces in three years. Gang members are thought to be part of Mexico's Sinaloa cartel.
