BMI View: President Martín Torrijos is fast losing the support of Panamanians, many of whom are struggling to make ends meet as staple food and fuel costs continue to rise. We caution that a loss of confidence in the government could threaten to derail the ruling Partido Revolucionario Democrático (PRD)'s chance of re-election in next May's general election.
